I don't even recall the last time I prepared a real update for this blog, but that's going to change. I want to start blogging again, like I used to. I've looked into other sites, such as blogger and I've come to the conclusion that LiveJournal owns my heart. I have dear friends here that I can't expect to follow me to another, less personal site. This is where I will stay, I'll just adjust this journal to my wants and needs.

I've cleaned up my friends list a little bit, but it was before I decided to stay Friends Only instead of Public. I'll be cutting more people - this may or may not be permanent, but for now I don't want a friends list filled with people I don't know. This isn't anything personal, but I haven't been around enough to get to know a lot of people. As the months go on I do intend to add more friends.

I also switched all public entries to friends only, so this is a (sort of) fresh start.  I thought I wanted to blog about basic things in life and keep the less personal stuff to myself, but I've realized that isn't the kind of blogger I am.  I'm an open book and I want to share and have my thoughts and memories to look back on - I just don't want to share with the entire world or any really big creepers who may have been following me publicly.  I feel most comfortable sharing with people I care about - with people who also trust me enough to share their lives with me.

I'll be starting 2011 off with a 30-day meme - which I'll post within the next few hours.
